The Greensboro Coliseum Complex will be hosting multiple events which are expected to draw 10,000 patrons to the area and surrounding roadways. In anticipation of the increased traffic volume surrounding this event, Coliseum personnel and the Greensboro Police Department will be managing major intersections in the vicinity of the Complex. Variable messaging systems located along highways I-40, I-85, I-73, US-29, US-220 and US-421 will be displaying messages to advise motorists with traffic information. The Greensboro Coliseum Complex, GPD, GDOT and the North Carolina DOT advise all patrons to plan to arrive at least one hour early and carpooling is strongly encouraged.

Emergancy drainage structure replacement to take place on Lynwood Drive (SR-3466) adjacent to Lynwood lakes just west of Forest Oaks and southeast of Greensboro. Completion of the work will be contingent upon the weather and utility relocation.

Various lane closures may occur on I-85 between I-40 and the Business I-85 each night in order for crews to perform patching and surface grinding of the existing concrete roadway. One lane may be closed each night beginning at 8:00 PM, with a second lane closure occurring at 10:00 PM. All lanes should re-open at 6:00 AM the following morning.

Contractors will be diamond grinding lanes prior to resurfacing, closing one lane each evening for the duration of the project. Work will take place between 8:00 PM and 6:00 AM each day, starting Sundays at 8:00 PM and ending Fridays at 6:00 AM.
