Congestion on US-220 Near Summerfield
US 220 is under construction to widen the road from SR 2182 (Horse Pen Creek Road) to the existing intersection of NC 68 in Rockingham County.

Both directions of traffic will be shifted onto the new southbound lanes to allow the contractor to build 2 bridges, 2 culverts and the new northbound lanes. This will effect the interchange at US-220 and NC-65 and US-220 and US-158.

Congestion on SR-4121 In Greensboro
The Greensboro Coliseum Complex will be hosting an event which is expected to draw 6,000 patrons to the area and surrounding roadways.  In anticipation of the increased traffic volume surrounding this event, Coliseum personnel and the Greensboro Police Department will be managing major intersections in the vicinity of the Complex.  The Greensboro Coliseum Complex, GPD, GDOT and the North Carolina DOT advise all patrons to plan to arrive at least one hour early and carpooling is strongly encouraged.

Thacker Dairy Rd will be Closed while Contractors Replace the Existing Bridge.

Road Closed on SR-2834 East of Greensboro
Briarmeade Rd. will be closed permanently at the location of the new Greensboro Eastern Loop crossing (Between McKnight Mill Rd. and Panarama Drive).   No detour will be signed.

Ramp Closed on SR-2085 In Greensboro
NCDOT will close the Bryan Blvd West Ramp at I-73 Exit 3 on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings (September 9, 10,  and 11) from 12am to 5am to accommodate installation of concrete barrier wall and pavement marking operations.  This work is in preparation for an upcoming project to replace the Inman Road Bridge over Bryan Blvd. 
DETOUR: I-73 to Bryan Blvd East to Fleming Road to Bryan Blvd West

Lane Closed on SR-1278 In High Point
Crews will have various lanes closures in order to mill pavement, replace traffic signal loops and resurface North College Drive from Montlieu Avenue to Lexington Avenue.

Congestion on NC-68 Near Greensboro
Due to multiple operations in the area for the construction of the new I-73 (NC-68/US-220 Connector), anticipate crews working 6 days a week along the project limits.

Road Closed with Detour on NC-61 South of Whitsett
Contractor Forces will close the road in order to replace the bridge over Beaver Creek.  Motorists will still be able to access residences on either side of the bridge construction area.Motorists are advised to use caution when traveling in the area and follow signed detour route.
DETOUR: Turn left onto Holts Store Rd and continue straight onto Brick Church Rd. Turn right onto NC-62 South and make a slight right to re-access NC-61.

The right lane is closed in each direction as part of the High Point Road widening project and the construction of the new interchange.

Shoulder Closed on I-40 In Greensboro
NCDOT contractor will replace the I-40 west bound bridge over US 29 and the off ramp to Martin Luther King Jr./Joseph M. Hunt road bridge over US 29 There will be occasional lane closures and traffic shifts during the life of the project for the I-40 west bound traffic

Lane Closed on I-40 In Greensboro
The right lane is closed near Exit 222 to Martin Luther King, Jr Drive.  Also, NCDOT Contractor has installed a temporary ramp from I-40 westbound to Martin Luther King , Jr. Drive.
