Q) How often is the map updated?
A) The traffic flow is updated at loadtime and upon movement outside the initial map view, or upon refresh of the page. Any incident markers are checked for updates approximately every 5-10 minutes, but you need to reload the page to load any new updates; the data provided may still be the same status/view as before. Information shown is as only reliable as how it is reported to us.

Q) The roads are backed up or closed, but the map does not show the reason why, what's the deal?
A) Municipal traffic monitors or GPS trackers may not be available, could be offline, or reports and alerts are not syndicated to media outside of the area to use on the map. This is especially true for rural areas. You are encouraged to leave a road conditions report to help others.

Q) I see traffic alerts in the box below for the state, but they aren't related to the area I'm in?
A) We attempt to display alerts as specific to the area as possible, however in some cases the data we receive will only allow us to provide it by county or even statewide.

Q) Are you an official source of traffic information?
A) We are not an official source of traffic or real-time data. We have contracts and licenses to display certain up-to-date information that comes direct from some DOTs in various states, and the traffic flow on the maps is provided by Google or MapQuest. However, the data shown here should only be used for light informational and reference purposes and not to make critical decisions. Your safest option on the web is to use your state-run traffic website, or to call the DOT traffic line for your state, local authorities, or the state's 511 number if available.

Title: US 62 northbound and southbound at mile marker 21, -Select Lane- 2 lanes closed.
Description: NMDOT crews will be performing mainteance in the median at mm 21.3 On US 62/180 south of White City through Friday, January 30, 2015 from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Both inside lanes will be closed to traffic at this location until work is completed. The outside lanes will remain open to traffic. NMDOT Supv Richard Marquez 575-840-9796

Title: Interstate 25 northbound and southbound from mile marker 293 to mile marker 294 (CANONCITO)
Description: Santa Fe The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) began bridge replacement work on I-25 north of Santa Fe at Canoncito between mile markers 293 and 294. The scope of the project includes bridge rehabilitation, roadway and ramp reconstruction, and pavement rehabilitation for 1.42 miles within Santa Fe County. Tom Griego is the NMDOT Project Engineer. AUI is the contractor for this project. Traffic Impacts: Tthe cross road under I-25 (Sleeping Dog Road) and the I- 25 southbound ramp is CLOSED. This closure remains in effect until June 2015. Local traffic and residents on the south side of I-25 will be detoured to the Valencia Exit 297 to access I-25 South. Local traffic and residents on the north side of I-25 (Old Las Vegas Highway) will be detoured to the Lamy Exit 290 to access I-25 northbound and southbound. -All lanes are OPENED on the I-25 northbound and southbound lanes anes. Project anticipated to be completed July 2015; weather permitting. NMDOT urges motorists to proceed through the work zone with caution, watch for construction personnel.

Description: Wednesday 1/28 from 4 am to 9 pm (Road Safe Traffic Systems) N_M 47 both directions at mile marker 4.5 (just north of U_S 60 at the railroad crossing) will be closed for railroad crossing repair. Detour posted using N_M 3_04 and U_S 60.
