Georgia Department of Transportation (Georgia DOT) contractors will shift traffic for the ongoing CW Grant Widening project at 9 a.m. on Friday, November 17, weather permitting.
Contractors will move traffic from the existing Conley Road onto the newly relocated Conley Road. In addition, contractors will shift traffic on Old Dixie Highway just south of Evans Street.
These traffic shifts are a part of the ongoing widening of Charles W. Grant Parkway. The project will provide a four-lane roadway (two lanes in each direction) separated by a 20-foot wide raised median from the existing Charles W. Grant Parkway to I-285.
Motorists are reminded to reduce their speeds while traveling through the work zone, and to buckle up, eliminate distractions behind the wheel, and plan their routes before getting on the road. Call 511 for real-time information on work status and traffic conditions.
