* WHAT...North winds around 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph. * WHERE...Lower Florida Keys. * WHEN...Until 9 AM EDT this morning. * IMPACTS...A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of 30 to 39 mph, or frequent gusts in excess of 35 mph are expected. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Wind gusts along the Overseas Highway will be highest on bridges and overpasses.

For the Apalachicola River...including Blountstown...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Apalachicola River near Blountstown. * WHEN...Until early Friday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 19.0 feet, Minor lowland flooding will occur at Douglas Landing and Willis Landing Campgrounds in Gulf County. The 19.0 ft level at Blountstown may at times not be representative of river levels in these areas due to tidal effects, winds, or local rainfall and should be used with caution. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:15 PM CDT Monday /8:15 PM EDT Monday/ the stage was 18.7 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 7:15 PM CDT Monday /8:15 PM EDT Monday/ was 18.7 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 18.8 feet just after midnight tonight.
