...The National Weather Service in Boise ID has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Oregon... Owyhee River Below Owyhee Dam affecting Malheur County. .High releases will continue from Owyhee Dam to make space in the reservoir for additional mountain snow melt. Expect minor flooding downstream from the dam. For the Owyhee River...including Owyhee Dam...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Owyhee River below Owyhee Dam. * WHEN...Until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 3,000 cfs, Low lying roads, river access and recreation sites adjacent to the river will flood. Farm equipment near the river may need to be moved. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:30 AM MDT Tuesday /9:30 AM PDT Tuesday/ the flow was 3,596 cfs. - Bankfull stage is 1,000 cfs. - Recent Activity...The maximum river flow in the 24 hours ending at 10:30 AM MDT Tuesday /9:30 AM PDT Tuesday/ was 3,596 cfs. - Forecast...The river is expected to remain near 3,500 cfs through Friday, May 03. - Flood flow is 3,000 cfs. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 3,560 cfs on 04/20/1999. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
