Myers Dam, and Shawneetown. .Minor flooding is occurring along the lower Ohio River, but the river is falling and is forecast to fall below flood stage Wednesday at all minor flood locations. For the Ohio River...including Mount Vernon, J.T. Myers Dam, Shawneetown...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Ohio River at J.T. Myers Dam. * WHEN...Until tomorrow afternoon. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:00 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 40.4 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage late tomorrow morning. - Flood stage is 37.0 feet.

Minimum relative humidity between 19 and 30 percent combined with southwest winds of 10 to 15 mph, with gusts up to 25 mph, will lead to an increased risk of wildfires today. Remember that under KY law, it is illegal to burn within 150 feet of any woodland or brushland between 6 AM and 6 PM during the Spring Fire Season that runs through April 30th. West Virginia law prohibits burning in the spring from 7AM to 5PM...March 1st through May 31st.
