Q) How often is the map updated?
A) The traffic flow is updated at loadtime and upon movement outside the initial map view, or upon refresh of the page. Any incident markers are checked for updates approximately every 5-10 minutes, but you need to reload the page to load any new updates; the data provided may still be the same status/view as before. Information shown is as only reliable as how it is reported to us.Q) The roads are backed up or closed, but the map does not show the reason why, what's the deal?
A) Municipal traffic monitors or GPS trackers may not be available, could be offline, or reports and alerts are not syndicated to media outside of the area to use on the map. This is especially true for rural areas. You are encouraged to leave a road conditions report to help others.Q) I see traffic alerts in the box below for the state, but they aren't related to the area I'm in?
A) We attempt to display alerts as specific to the area as possible, however in some cases the data we receive will only allow us to provide it by county or even statewide.Q) Are you an official source of traffic information?
A) We are not an official source of traffic or real-time data. We have contracts and licenses to display certain up-to-date information that comes direct from some DOTs in various states, and the traffic flow on the maps is provided by Google or MapQuest. However, the data shown here should only be used for light informational and reference purposes and not to make critical decisions. Your safest option on the web is to use your state-run traffic website, or to call the DOT traffic line for your state, local authorities, or the state's 511 number if available.

Lane Closed on SR-2187 In Statesville
Contractor will have Glenway Drive CLOSED 24 HOURS A DAY TO ONE WAY TRAFFIC ONLY from a point at K&W / Tractor Supply Back Driveway North East to the DOOSAN Plant for approximately 40 days. NO TRAFFIC CAN ACCESS DOOSAN PLANT FROM US-21 to GLENWAY DRIVE. Travel will be ONE-WAY heading South West from the Doosan Plant Only. To enter Doosan, or locations beyond you must follow the posted Detour to US-21 North to James Farm Road.
DETOUR: Traffic traveling North East on Glenway Drive to points beyond K&W Restaurant or the Tractor Supply back driveway you must turn around and travel back to US-21, Turn Right onto US-21 North and Turn Right onto James Farm Road. Traffic can EXIT Doosan to the South West back to US-21. But ALL TRAFFIC MUST ENTER FROM JAMES FARM ROAD.

Road Closed on SR-1935 In Statesville
Contractor will have SR 1935 Sunset Hills Road CLOSED for approximately 45 Days for grading and to tie in the new intersection between Chilli's and Wendy's at US-21 / Glenway Drive. Traffic will use the posted Detour.
DETOUR: Traffic from US-21 to Pump Station Road will travel north two signals and turn left onto Pump Station Road. Wendy's Restaurant will have access from US-21 only during this construction.

Road Closed on SR-1907 Near Statesville
Iredell County State Road No. 1907 South Chipley Ford Road will be closed starting June 5, 2015 due to the replacement of Bridge No. 183 over Fourth Creek. The road is tentatively scheduled to reopen on November 2, 2015. The road will be closed at the bridge location between SR 1924 Nixon Road and SR 1929 Sullivan Farm Road.

Lane Closed on I-77 In Statesville
Night time lane closures should be expected on I-77 northbound from MM 45 (Amity Hill Rd.) to MM 54 (US 21 Turnersburg Highway) in order to perform pavement rehabilitation from 3/15/15 until 10/31/15. Lane closures will be a maximum length of 2 miles in length unless otherwise approved by the engineer. The speed limit will be reduced to 55 mph and a $250.00 speeding penalty will be enforced when lane closures are being utilized.
