Stallings Road will be closed to thru traffic to replace a bridge just south of Armitage Drive
DETOUR: Please use Patterson Road, NC 98, and N. Mineral Springs Road for detour. Signs will be placed along detour route to navigate around road closure.

Sink Hole formed due to adverse weather.  Location is in the preliminary engineering phase for replacing failed pipe structures with a bridge.  
DETOUR: Coming from I-85 need to turn right on Geer St. to left on Burton Rd. then left on Cheek Rd. back to Redwood Rd. Coming west on Redwood Rd. need to turn right on Hereford Rd. to right on Cheek Rd. to Right on Burton Rd. to right on Geer St. back to Redwood Rd.

Lane Closed on NC-55 In Durham
The Department is widening NC 55 (Alston Avenue) from NC 147 (I.L. 'Buck' Dean Freeway) to north of NC 98 (Holloway Street) in Durham.   The project is expected to take three years to complete. Expect periodic lane closures on NC 55, NC 98, Liberty St, Main St, and Angier Ave throughout the life of the project on Monday - Friday 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM, and Saturday - Sunday all hours. Also expect periodic lane closures on NC 147 Monday - Friday 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM and Saturday - Sunday 8:00 PM to 10:00 AM. No lane closures are expected during holidays and other high traffic special events.  Motorists are urged to be alert and drive cautiously when traveling through a work zone.

Road Closed with Detour on NC-55 In Durham
A closure of NC 55 (Alston Avenue) is schedule to occur for three consecutive weekends beginning Friday night, February 17 at 8:00 PM to perform asbestos removal on two of the railroad bridges above Alston Avenue.  The weekends affected are: ·   8:00 PM Friday, 2/17 to 6:00 AM Monday, 2/20 ·   8:00 PM Friday, 2/24 to 6:00 AM Monday, 2/27 ·   8:00 PM Friday, 3/3 to 6:00 AM Monday, 3/6  NC 55 will be closed to through traffic between NC 147 and Main Street.  Local traffic and driveways will have access maintained through this section during the closure.  NC 55/Alston Avenue will reopen by 6:00 AM Monday morning each weekend.  
DETOUR: • Eastbound NC 55 – Turn right onto Main Street. Turn left onto Fayetteville Street. Turn left onto SB NC 147 on ramp. Turn off onto Exit 11 (NC 55/Alston Avenue). Turn right to continue onto EB NC 55. • Westbound NC 55 – Merge right onto NB NC 147 on ramp. Turn off onto Exit 12A (Fayetteville Street). Turn right to Fayetteville Street. Turn right onto Main Street. Turn left at Alston Avenue to continue onto WB NC 55.

Road Closed on NC-55 In Durham
W Eva St will no longer have access to Alston Avenue starting on Monday, November 14th as part of the Alston Avenue widening project.  Local traffic is to use Holloway St or Liberty St to Elm St in order to access Eva St.
