Q) How often is the map updated?
A) The traffic flow is updated at loadtime and upon movement outside the initial map view, or upon refresh of the page. Any incident markers are checked for updates approximately every 5-10 minutes, but you need to reload the page to load any new updates; the data provided may still be the same status/view as before. Information shown is as only reliable as how it is reported to us.

Q) The roads are backed up or closed, but the map does not show the reason why, what's the deal?
A) Municipal traffic monitors or GPS trackers may not be available, could be offline, or reports and alerts are not syndicated to media outside of the area to use on the map. This is especially true for rural areas. You are encouraged to leave a road conditions report to help others.

Q) I see traffic alerts in the box below for the state, but they aren't related to the area I'm in?
A) We attempt to display alerts as specific to the area as possible, however in some cases the data we receive will only allow us to provide it by county or even statewide.

Q) Are you an official source of traffic information?
A) We are not an official source of traffic or real-time data. We have contracts and licenses to display certain up-to-date information that comes direct from some DOTs in various states, and the traffic flow on the maps is provided by Google or MapQuest. However, the data shown here should only be used for light informational and reference purposes and not to make critical decisions. Your safest option on the web is to use your state-run traffic website, or to call the DOT traffic line for your state, local authorities, or the state's 511 number if available.

Title: New Mexico 96 from 14.8 miles East of Gallina at mile marker 26 to 1.3 miles North of Youngsville at mile marker 38
Description: NM 96- Gallina area- Starting October 9 - Pavment Preservation work. Motorists can expect one lane closures with a pilot car escort and some delays. Drivers are asked to use caution, observe temporary construction signing and reduce speed to the posted speed .limits.

Title: US 380 from 4.6 miles East of San Antonio at mile marker 3 to 27 miles East of Bingham at mile marker 42
Description: White Sands Missile Range will have US-380 closed from mile markers 3-49 on Thursday October 10, 2013 starting at 8:45 am and will last for two hours. The closure should be lifted at 10:45 am. Be advised all blocks are subject to change without notice.

Title: New Mexico 516 at mile marker 12
Description: NM 516 - This Project is located in Aztec, NM San Juan County at mile post 12.97 at the intersection of NM 516 and NM 574. This project will consist of roadway rehabilitation. The project is scheduled to last 75 working days. Expect delays throughout the duration of the project. Traffic Impacts: The Eastbound Driving Lane closure on NM 516 will be periodically closed when construction is present within that lane. There is a Width Restriction of 11 feet on this project. There is a Height Restriction of 16 feet on this project

Title: US 84 northbound and southbound at mile marker 163
Description: US 84/ 285 - St. Francis Drive from Cerrilos Road to Hicox Road. Starting October 3 through October 11 Pavement Preservation work. Motorists can expect a double lane closures and delays from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.. Drivers are asked to watch for construction personnel, and observe temporary construction signing and reduce speed to the posted speed limits

Title: US 180 eastbound and westbound from at mile marker 120 to at mile marker 128, left lane closed.
Description: NMDOT along with Brasier Asphalt will be carrying out maintenance operations by chip sealing US-180 from mile markers 120-128. Daily operations will start at 7:00 am-6:00 pm including Saturday and Sunday. Traffic control will have lane restrictions and have a car pilot to assist with the traffic through out the work zone. Proceed with caution around work zone due to heavy equipment and loose gravel along the roadway.

Title: US 82 eastbound and westbound from mile marker 0 to mile marker 16
Description: New signage project. The Contractor will be working Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Motorists should watch for equipment and personnel in the workzone and adhere to all construction signage. Traffic may be reduced to one lane with pilot car at random times throughout the work day.
