* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Portions of southeast Kansas, including the following counties, Cherokee and Crawford and southwest Missouri, including the following counties, Jasper and Lawrence. * WHEN...Until 430 PM CDT Thursday. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1026 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following low water crossings... Dry Fork at Pine Road, Center Creek at Dogwood Road and Fidelity Branch at County Road 130. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Joplin, Carthage, Webb City, Carl Junction, Oronogo, Carterville, Duquesne, Sarcoxie, Duenweg, Alba, Purcell, Airport Drive, Carytown, Fidelity, Asbury, Neck City, Avilla, La Russell, Brooklyn Heights, Reeds, Waco, Atlas, Oakland Park and Opolis. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
