* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Santa Barbara County. * WHEN...Until 215 AM PDT. * IMPACTS...Urban roadway and small stream flooding is expected, especially in low lying areas. There will be widespread ponding of water on area roadways. In addition, there is an increased threat of mudslide and rockslides, especially near canyon roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 939 PM PDT, Doppler radar and rain gauges indicated moderate to heavy rain pushing into western Santa Barbara County, with additional heavy rain offshore. Rainfall rates and coverage will continue to increase across the county through the late evening hours, with moderate to heavy rain expected into the early morning hours Saturday. Rainfall rates of 0.25 to 0.50 inches per hour are expected in most areas. Rates up to 0.75 inches per hour are possible near any embedded convective showers or thunderstorms, and in favored foothill locations. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.75 to 1.5 inches are expected over the area through the early morning hours, with local additional totals up to 2 inches. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
