Q) How often is the map updated?
A) The traffic flow is updated at loadtime and upon movement outside the initial map view, or upon refresh of the page. Any incident markers are checked for updates approximately every 5-10 minutes, but you need to reload the page to load any new updates; the data provided may still be the same status/view as before. Information shown is as only reliable as how it is reported to us.Q) The roads are backed up or closed, but the map does not show the reason why, what's the deal?
A) Municipal traffic monitors or GPS trackers may not be available, could be offline, or reports and alerts are not syndicated to media outside of the area to use on the map. This is especially true for rural areas. You are encouraged to leave a road conditions report to help others.Q) I see traffic alerts in the box below for the state, but they aren't related to the area I'm in?
A) We attempt to display alerts as specific to the area as possible, however in some cases the data we receive will only allow us to provide it by county or even statewide.Q) Are you an official source of traffic information?
A) We are not an official source of traffic or real-time data. We have contracts and licenses to display certain up-to-date information that comes direct from some DOTs in various states, and the traffic flow on the maps is provided by Google or MapQuest. However, the data shown here should only be used for light informational and reference purposes and not to make critical decisions. Your safest option on the web is to use your state-run traffic website, or to call the DOT traffic line for your state, local authorities, or the state's 511 number if available.

Lane Closed on SR-1519 In Candor
Crews will be performing a bridge inspection on Capelsie Road between Maple Leaf Land and Hicks Road where they will be closing the easbound lane. The inspection is set to take place between January 22nd and January 26th from 8 AM to 5 PM, weather permitting.

Road Closed with Detour on SR-1164 North West of Troy
Crews will be closing Tuckertown Rd. (SR 1164) to thru traffic to allow for bridge replacement and construction. Temporary closure will begin on February 12th, 2018. Traffic will utilize Hwy 49 and Badin Lake Rd. (SR 2554) as part of the detour.
DETOUR: Follow NC Hwy 49 for 2.5 miles to Badin Lake Rd, follow Badin Lake Rd for 3 miles to Tuckertown Rd

Lane Closed on SR-1005 Near Candor
There will be one lane closed between Chip Road and Hicks Road. Traffic will be alternating through the open lane.

Road Closed with Detour on NC-73 South East of Candor
Due to a bridge replacement project on NC 73 at the Montgomery/Moore County line, a portion of NC 73 will be closed to through traffic between Pooles Mill Rd (SR 1527) in Montgomery County and Derby Rd (SR 1124) in Moore County. The road is anticipated to be closed January 22, 2018 and is expected to re-open June 20, 2018. There will be a signed detour. UPDATE: This has been revised to reflect that the contractor plans to close the road January 22, 2018 instead of January 15, 2018.
DETOUR: Traveling East on NC 73;Turn left onto Windblow Rd (SR 1003); Take I 73/74/US 220 North to Candor, NC; Take Exit 44 (NC 211) Candor/Pinehurst; Turn Left onto NC 211 East; continue on NC 211; back to NC 73.

Existing NC 24/27 near Oak Hills Dr will be closed for further construction for Troy Bypass . Traffic will be shifted to allow for this Construction. Speed Limit for this Traffic Shift will be 25 MPH.
