FAQs
Q) How often is the map updated?
A) The traffic flow is updated at loadtime and upon movement outside the initial map view, or upon refresh of the page. Any incident markers are checked for updates approximately every 5-10 minutes, but you need to reload the page to load any new updates; the data provided may still be the same status/view as before. Information shown is as only reliable as how it is reported to us.

Q) The roads are backed up or closed, but the map does not show the reason why, what's the deal?
A) Municipal traffic monitors or GPS trackers may not be available, could be offline, or reports and alerts are not syndicated to media outside of the area to use on the map. This is especially true for rural areas. You are encouraged to leave a road conditions report to help others.

Q) I see traffic alerts in the box below for the state, but they aren't related to the area I'm in?
A) We attempt to display alerts as specific to the area as possible, however in some cases the data we receive will only allow us to provide it by county or even statewide.

Q) Are you an official source of traffic information?
A) We are not an official source of traffic or real-time data. We have contracts and licenses to display certain up-to-date information that comes direct from some DOTs in various states, and the traffic flow on the maps is provided by Google or MapQuest. However, the data shown here should only be used for light informational and reference purposes and not to make critical decisions. Your safest option on the web is to use your state-run traffic website, or to call the DOT traffic line for your state, local authorities, or the state's 511 number if available.

Vado Traffic Alerts
Title: US 550 southbound at mile marker 2
Description: Sunday 2/1 from 7 am to 5 pm (Qualcon) U_S 5_50 both directions over the river bridge (Bernalillo) will be reduced to a single lane (at various times one direction at a time) for bridge maintenance. Expect delays!! Environmental restrictions required this project to occur during the late fall and made night work to lessen traffic impacts not possible.

Title: Conditions exist throughout Sandoval county.
Description: Roads throughout Bernalillo, Valencia and Sandoval Counties are mostly wet with some icy spots. Be alert for possible slick driving conditions as temperatures drop in Sandoval early morning hours. Crews have placed salt and cinders on bridges and overpasses. Use caution and reduce your speed.

Title: Interstate 25 northbound and southbound from mile marker 79 (T OR C NORTH) to mile marker 93
Description: North of Truth or Consequences the NMDOT and Mountain States Constructors have shifted traffic the north and southbound lanes where motorists will travel on the newly constructed bridge for north and southbound movement. Traffic will continue be restrict to 12.5 foot width restrictions between mile markers 88 to 92 as concrete wall barriers are placed. The contractor is currently reconstructing the existing bridge which requires the northbound OFF ramp to be CLOSED at exit 92 due to reconstruction of the northbound lanes, please follow traffic control signage within the work zone. Project is scheduled to be complete by June 2015. Reduce speed and proceed with extreme caution as you travel through this area.

Title: New Mexico 549 from mile marker 23 to mile marker 25
Description: A portion of NM 549 east of Deming is CLOSED due to roadway construction. The contracotr is currently reconstruction the bridge along this route. The NMDOT has posted detours and traffic control alerting motorists of this workzone. Please proceed with caution.

Title: US 64 eastbound and westbound from mile marker 175 to mile marker 223 Tres Piedras
Description: US 64 - Tierra Amarilla -Tres Piedras - ROADWAY CLOSED - Roadway is closed due to heavy snowfall, slick roads and hazardous road conditions. NMDOT Crews are salting, sanding and plowing roadway. This event will be updated as conditions changed

Title: New Mexico 12 northbound and southbound from mile marker 30 to mile marker 36
Description: FAIR DRIVING CONDITIONS on NM 12, mile marker 30-36 (North of Aragon to Apache National Forest). Road is wet. Please watch for ice with falling temperatures. Please drive with caution, reduce speed and obey all posted traffic signs. This event will be updated as conditions change.

Title: New Mexico 159 from mile marker 12 to mile marker 23
Description: NM 159 near Mogollon from mile marker 12 - 23 is now CLOSED for the Winter. Safety measures have been placed in order to secure the area for the traveling public. Please avoid this route until conditions change in 2015.

Title: Interstate 25 at mile marker 288
Description: I-25 Seton Village- 10 TON WEIGHT LIMIT - There is a 10 ton weight limit restriction on the crossover road over the I25 bridge. Motorists are advised to observe weight limit restriction. This event will be in effect until further notice.
