Greatest snowfall expected along the Chautauqua Ridge axis, with little to no accumulation along the immediate lakeshore. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph will create blowing snow with poor visibilities. * WHERE...Chautauqua County. * WHEN...Until 1 PM EST this afternoon. * IMPACTS...Travel will be difficult. * WHAT...Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 32 degrees. * WHERE...Northern Queens and Southern Queens Counties. * WHEN...Until 9 AM EST this morning. * IMPACTS...Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.

* WHAT...Lake effect snow. Snow accumulations between 2 and 6 inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 to 40 mph. * WHERE...Southern Herkimer County. * WHEN...Until 6 PM EST this evening. * IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday morning and evening commutes. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Multiple lake effect snow bands will impact the area this morning through the afternoon with reduced visibilities and localized snow rates briefly a half an inch to an inch an hour. Gusty winds will produce blowing snow. Some of the narrow snow bands may impact Interstate 90 before the bands drift north in the late afternoon.

Additional snow accumulations between 3 and 7 inches. * WHERE...Madison, Northern Oneida, Onondaga, and Southern Oneida Counties. * WHEN...Until 6 PM EST Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday morning and evening commutes. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Several rounds of lake effect snow showers, wind and any heavier snow showers may reduce visibilities as well. Accumulations during the day will mainly be on grassy areas but slick spots could form at night and during any heavier snow showers.
