Winds gusting as high as 35 to 40 mph. * WHERE...Southern Herkimer County. * WHEN...Until 6 PM EST this evening. * IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday morning and evening commutes. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Multiple lake effect snow bands will impact the area this morning through the afternoon with reduced visibilities and localized snow rates briefly a half an inch to an inch an hour. Gusty winds will produce blowing snow. Some of the narrow snow bands may impact Interstate 90 before the bands drift north in the late afternoon.
