Current National Weather
Get ready for a mix of weather events from April 15 to April 17! Up in the Cascades and northern Rockies, we're expecting some late season snow as a cold front moves in. Meanwhile, parts of the Mid-Atlantic will feel the heat with temperatures soaring into the 90s. Severe thunderstorms could hit areas from the southern Plains to the lower Great Lakes tonight, and then shift to the interior Northeast on Thursday. Stay safe as these storms may bring lightning, high winds, hail, and even a few tornadoes.
Wednesday: Our neighbors in the southeastern Plains and Midwest should watch for thunderstorms that could turn severe tonight. In the Pacific Northwest, a cold front will bring snow to high elevations and rain along the coast.
Thursday: Thunderstorms could still be strong in the interior Northeast, particularly in Upstate New York. Warm temperatures will continue in the Mid-Atlantic but should start to moderate by Friday.
Friday: Expect the cold front to push across the northern Plains, turning rain to snow as temperatures drop. Thunderstorms in the Northeast will start to wind down by the morning, though showers may linger in New England.
