* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Southern Adams County in west central Illinois... Southeastern Knox County in northeastern Missouri... Southern Lewis County in northeastern Missouri... Marion County in northeastern Missouri... Shelby County in northeastern Missouri... * WHEN...Until 545 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 332 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 3 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Quincy, Hannibal, Palmyra, Monroe City, Shelbina, Quincy Regional Airport, Warren, Payson, Mendon, La Grange, Clarence, Shelbyville, Fall Creek, Ewing, Beverly, Philadelphia, Maywood, Emden, Steffenville and Plevna.

* WHAT...Daily peak heat index values of 103 to 109 today and Thursday, then 100 to 105 Friday and Saturday. * WHERE...Portions of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, western Kentucky, and southeast Missouri. * WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/ Saturday. * IMPACTS...Record to near record hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The Heat Advisory has been extended thru Saturday for the entire Quad State Region.
