Get ready for a snowy and rainy weekend across the U.S. Snow is expected in the Northern Tier, with up to a foot in the Rockies. A series of storms will bring heavy rain to the Pacific Northwest, increasing the risk of flooding. Meanwhile, the Gulf Coast will see rain as temperatures drop significantly in the Northern Plains.

Snow in the Northern Tier

Over the weekend, the Northern Rockies will face winter storm conditions, with snowfall exceeding a foot in higher areas. By Saturday night, snow will spread from the Rockies to the Northern Plains and Upper Midwest, including South Dakota and northwest Illinois. Expect 4-6 inches of snow, with locally higher amounts possible.

Rain and Flooding in the Pacific Northwest

Starting Monday, the Pacific Northwest will experience heavy rain due to a series of Pacific storms. Flash flooding could occur in western Washington and Oregon, with a Flood Watch in effect Sunday night.
