A weak storm system passing to our north today will bring a risk for patchy light freezing drizzle or flurries this morning. The anticipated spotty coverage of freezing drizzle should minimize icing on treated surfaces. Although untreated surfaces and elevated bridges could still become slippery. Use caution if traveling this morning.

A light wintry mix, including spotty freezing rain, will continue across portions of eastern New York and adjacent western New England through mid morning. This will create locally slippery driving and walking conditions. Motorists and pedestrians should remain alert to possible icy ground surfaces through mid morning, especially elevated road surfaces such as bridges and overpasses, as well as driveways, sidewalks and parking lots.
