Tornado Warning issued April 26 at 9:01PM CDT until April 26 at 9:30PM CDT by NWS Des Moines IA

At 900 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Murray Roadside Rest Area, or 7 miles west of Osceola, moving northeast at 40 mph. HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of southeastern Union, northeastern Ringgold and west central Clarke Counties, including the following locations... Ellston, Thayer, Murray, Murray Roadside Rest Area, Arispe, Lorimor, and Tingley.

At 859 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Otter Creek County Park, or 11 miles south of Indianola, moving northeast at 40 mph. HAZARD...Tornado and half dollar size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. This dangerous storm will be near... Milo and Otter Creek County Park around 905 PM CDT. Ackworth around 915 PM CDT. Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include New Virginia, Otter Creek County Park, Ackworth, Milo, and Lake Ahquabi State Park. This includes Interstate 35 between mile markers 38 and 40.

HAZARD...Damaging tornado. SOURCE...Radar confirmed tornado. IMPACT...You are in a life-threatening situation. Flying debris may be deadly to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be destroyed. Considerable damage to homes, businesses, and vehicles is likely and complete destruction is possible. The tornado will be near... Des Moines, Altoona, Pleasant Hill, Bondurant, Adventureland Amusement Park, and Prairie Meadows around 900 PM CDT. Mitchellville around 905 PM CDT. Valeria around 915 PM CDT. Colfax around 920 PM CDT. Mingo around 925 PM CDT. Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Mingo, Valeria, and Runnells. This includes the following highways... Interstate 80 between mile markers 140 and 155. Interstate 235 between mile markers 10 and 12.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southwest Iowa, including the following counties, Harrison and Shelby. * WHEN...Until 1045 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 736 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Harlan, Shelby, Earling, Irwin, Persia, Defiance, Panama, Portsmouth, Westphalia, Tennant and Kirkman. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
