* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Portions of east central and northeast Nebraska, including the following counties, in east central Nebraska, Butler. In northeast Nebraska, Cedar, Colfax, Madison, Pierce, Platte, Stanton and Wayne. * WHEN...Until 315 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1119 AM CDT, emergency management reported heavy rain in the advisory area due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is already occurring. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Norfolk, Columbus, Madison, Stanton, Humphrey, Bellwood, Leigh, Platte Center, Hadar, Hoskins, Creston, Richland, Lakeview, Tarnov, Cornlea, Sholes, Maple Creek Recreation Area, Shell Creek Elementary School, Circle H Trailer Park and Lake North. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

At 1058 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Riverton to near Athol to 6 miles south of Stockton. Movement was east at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Strong thunderstorms will be near... Smith Center, Woodston, Gaylord, Riverton, and Cedar around 1105 AM CDT. Alton, Bellaire, and Inavale around 1110 AM CDT. Other locations in the path of these storms include Harlan, Red Cloud, Lebanon and Cowles.
