Ohio River at Olmsted Lock and Dam. .Heavy rains will slowly drain into the Ohio River, causing it to continue above flood stage at Olmsted, and to soon rise above flood stage at Paducah and Cairo. For the Ohio River...including Paducah, Olmsted Lock and Dam, Cairo...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Ohio River at Cairo. * WHEN...From Sunday afternoon until further notice. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:00 PM CST Saturday the stage was 38.1 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage tomorrow afternoon and continue rising to a crest of 42.5 feet Wednesday morning. - Flood stage is 40.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 42.6 feet on 06/08/2013.

Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 801 PM CST, While the heaviest rain has come to an end, flooding continues from earlier heavy rain in the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain has fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to one half inch are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... The rain that falls this evening will be on top of heavy rain that has already caused widespread flooding earlier today.
