Water over roadways. River or stream flows are elevated. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 112 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Between 2 and 6 inches of rain had fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... At 1233 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 3 and 6 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded. Extensive street flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are possible. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - An active period of weather is forecast for South Central Texas through at least Thursday evening as tropical moisture interacts with slow-moving upper level disturbance and outflow boundaries. Guadalupe River at Hunt affecting Kerr County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Guadalupe River at Hunt. * WHEN...Until late tomorrow morning. * IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, Moderate lowland flooding reaches the floor of Schumacher Crossing east of Hunt preventing easy travel to western parts of the county. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded. Extensive street flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are possible. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Multiple rounds of heavy rainfall are expected over portions of West Central Texas through early Thursday evening. A series of upper-level disturbances will interact with an influx of tropical moisture across the region through much of this week. High precipitable water values will fuel highly efficient rain-producing storms, with model guidance indicating near-stationary clusters capable of producing 1.5 to 2.5 inches of rain per hour. This could lead to storm totals of 2 to 5 inches over the Watch area with isolated areas seeing 8+ inches.
