...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Washington... Stehekin River at Stehekin affecting Chelan County. .Warm temperatures will melt snowpack and increase river flows. For the Stehekin River...including Stehekin...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Stehekin River at Stehekin. * WHEN...Until late Monday evening. * IMPACTS...At 20.5 feet, water inundates some properties and overtops the temporary corduroy bridge. Company Creek Road inundated at northern end. Battalion Creek culverts are beginning to be overtopped. Water begins damaging Wood Road. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:30 AM PDT Friday the stage was 20.5 feet. - Bankfull stage is 19.5 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:30 AM PDT Friday was 20.6 feet. - Forecast...The river will rise through the weekend and is expected to crest around 20.8 feet on Sunday. The river is then expected to recede next week and fall back below its flood stage around Monday evening. - Flood stage is 20.5 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 22.5 feet on 05/12/2019. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

ESFPDT Moderate rain this weekend in the Washington Cascades and northern Blue Mountains combined with snowmelt from above normal temperatures will lead to rivers rises this weekend and early next week. Most rivers are currently running low and the increased streamflows will not be a problem. However, the Naches River at Cliffdell and at Naches are expected to rise above Action Stage Saturday through Monday night. The Grande Ronde River at Troy is expected to rise above Action Stage early Monday through Tuesday. Only localized minor flooding is expected. Please monitor the latest river forecasts from the National Weather Service for additional information.
