* WHAT...Snow and blowing snow occurring. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph. Reduced visibility down to one half mile. * WHERE...Pribilof Islands. * WHEN...Until 1 PM AKDT this afternoon. * IMPACTS...Travel could be difficult. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...There is quite a bit of uncertainty in the exact timing of snow and winds, but expect brief periods of locally heavy snow and strong winds.

Benign conditions across the Eastern Aleutians are expected to deteriorate through the morning hours today. A polar low dropping southward through the Bering will bring strengthening westerly winds as well as increasing precipitation. Furthermore, cooler temperatures associated with the low will promote a transition from rain to snow. Expect wind gusts as high as 45 mph and total snow accumulations of around an inch or two. Snow should come to an end by or before midday while gusty winds linger into Wednesday evening.

Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

Flood Warning issued May 7 at 6:29PM AKDT until May 9 at 12:15PM AKDT by NWS Anchorage AK

* WHAT...Flooding caused by an ice jam continues. * WHERE...the Kuskokwim River near Tuluksak. * WHEN...Until 1215 PM AKDT Thursday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of the Kuskokwim River...Tuluksak River and sloughs and other low-lying and flood-prone locations are occurring. High water may continue to impact the water treatment facility. As of Tuesday afternoon, water was within 1-2 feet of impacting the Tuluksak runway and was encroaching on buildings in the community. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 628 PM AKDT, the primary ice jam on the Kuskokwim River is located downstream of Akiak, this jam is causing flooding at Tuluksak. Cold temperatures are helping keep the jams in place and slowing their movement. As of Tuesday afternoon, a run of ice is passing Kalskag. Colder temperatures have slowed ice movement on the Kuskokwim River and will continue to cause ice jams and flooding along and behind the jams. * WHAT...Flooding caused by ice jams continues. * WHERE...Kuskokwim River near Akiak. * WHEN...Until noon AKDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS...There is an ice jam in place downstream of Akiak. Colder temperatures have slowed the movement of this ice. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 136 PM AKDT, the ice jam front was at Akiak and causing rises at Akiak extending upstream. Colder temperatures and cloudy conditions will limit warming in the Kuskokwim Delta through the next few days. The cooler pattern will slow down the movement of ice on the Kuskokwim River. * WHAT...Flooding caused by ice jams continues to be possible. * WHERE...The following area, Kuskokwim River. * WHEN...Through Friday morning. * IMPACTS...As of Tuesday morning, the ice jam front was stalled in the Akiak area. The communities of Akiak and Tuluksak were experiencing minor to moderate flooding as a result of several breakup jams. Additional ice jams and associated high water may cause minor or moderate flooding in Kwethluk and Akiachak. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Now is the time to take precautions. Beginning Tuesday afternoon, a pair of systems will move into the panhandle, bringing with them windy conditions and heavy rain at times. The first system will arrive Tuesday evening with gusty winds up to 40 to 50 mph to parts of the southern panhandle and outer coast that will last most of the night. Winds increase along the coast after 4pm and spread into the inner channels through evening. Expect the winds to diminish after 3 am Wednesday. Rainfall with this system will be around three quarters of an to one inch. System number two will be arriving late Wed night, and is expected to have more rain then wind. The band of rain is expected to persist through Thursday before then moving east Thursday night and weakening. The rainfall will also be aimed mostly at the northern half of the panhandle with the heaviest rainfall expected to be across the NE Gulf Coast and Glacier Bay area. Most stations have a greater than 60 percent chance of over 1 inches with a few having at least 20 percent chance of exceeding 2 inches north of Frederick Sound. River levels are still currently low from the recent dry weather last month so we are expecting some river rises across the norther panhandle, but no flooding at this time.

Spring snowmelt is expanding across rivers in the Copper River Basin. Area rivers and streams can expect to see widespread rises, with minor flooding likely in low areas near rivers. * WHAT...Flooding caused by snowmelt continues to be possible. * WHERE...The following area, Copper River Basin. This includes the cities of Glennallen, Eureka, Mccarthy, Paxson, And Slana. * WHEN...Through Friday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Storm drains and ditches may become clogged with debris. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Snowmelt continues in the Copper River Basin, with locations such as Moose and Trooper Creeks at Glennallen continuing to see flooding. Snowmelt flooding continues in Glennallen from Moose and Trapper Creeks. Warmer days and cooler nights will keep the melt going through the next several days. * WHAT...Flooding caused by snowmelt is occurring. * WHERE...Moose Creek and Trooper Creek near Glennallen. * WHEN...Until noon AKDT Friday. * IMPACTS...Water over roadways. Significant runoff may cause flooding of creeks and rivers. Storm drains and ditches may become clogged with debris. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1245 PM AKDT, areas of minor flooding continued in Glennallen. Local reports of rapid snowmelt with minor flooding continues, especially near Moose Creek and Trooper Creeks. Water was reported over Snowshoe Drive near Moose Creek and over Terrace Drive near Trooper Creek. * WHAT...Flooding caused by an ice jam is possible. * WHERE...The Yukon River near Circle * WHEN...Through Wednesday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Residents of Circle should be aware that the breakup front on the Yukon river is approaching and expected to reach Circle later today or Wednesday. No overbank flooding has been reported yet. However, as the breakup front moves downstream towards Circle it is likely that small jams will form and release, leading to rapidly changing water levels with the potential for minor or moderate flooding at Circle. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - The ice jam broke 29 miles upstream of Circle this morning. Ice is currently moving freely upstream from Circle but has the possibility to reform an ice jam as the breakup front makes it way downriver to Circle. If ice remains flowing freely, the breakup front could reach Circle as early as 3PM today, 5/7. - Http://www.weather.gov/aprfc
