At 740 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from Bernice to Plank to Walker. Movement was northeast at 50 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Hazard, Hyden, Buckhorn, Big Fork, Sandy Fork, Hoskinston, Shoal, Daley, Noctor, Beech, Thousandsticks, Napier, Bulan, Stinnett, Avawam, Yeaddiss, Inverness, Saul, Warbranch, and Morris Fork. THIS INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING HIGHWAYS... Hal Rogers Parkway between mile markers 37 and 59. Kentucky Highway 80 in Perry County between mile markers 9 and 15.

Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 733 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 4.4 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... * WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of south central Kentucky, including the following counties, McCreary and Whitley. * WHEN...Until 915 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 719 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... At 37.0 feet, Reeds and Rochester Ferries remain closed.
