* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of North Mississippi, including the following counties, Alcorn, Prentiss and Tishomingo. * WHEN...Until 1045 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 739 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Booneville, Iuka, J P Coleman State Park, Burnsville, Glen, Leedy, Thrashers, Hinkle, Rienzi, Holts Spur, Holcut, Walker Siding, Hazard Switch, Altitude, Doskie, Blythe Crossing, Gaston and Bacon Springs. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Mississippi River At Natchez affecting Concordia, Wilkinson and Adams Counties. * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Mississippi River at Natchez. * WHEN...Until Thursday, July 31. * IMPACTS...At 43.0 feet, Water covers Thornburg Lake Road in the area known as Anna's Bottom which is north of Natchez. Also, Lake Mary Road is under water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:00 PM CDT Monday the stage was 43.3 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to remain steady near 43 feet for the next few days. - Action stage is 38.0 feet. - Flood stage is 48.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
