* WHAT...Elevated surf of 3-5 feet with sets up to 6 feet this weekend. Astronomical tides of 6.0-6.5 feet expected, leading to minor tidal overflow. * WHERE...Beaches of Orange and San Diego Counties. * WHEN...Through Sunday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Minor tidal overflow and minor coastal erosion expected during high tides. Additionally, elevated surf will lead to strong rip currents. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...High tides are expected to be around 6.2 feet today, gradually rising to over 6.5 feet Sunday.

Waves 1 to 3 feet on Lake Tahoe. * WHERE...Greater Lake Tahoe Area, and Lassen-Eastern Plumas-Eastern Sierra Counties. * WHEN...From 8 AM to 8 PM PDT Friday. * IMPACTS...Strong winds and rough waves on area lakes will create hazardous conditions for small craft.

* WHAT...Southwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. * WHERE...In California, Mono County. In Nevada, Greater Reno-Carson City-Minden Area. * WHEN...From 8 AM to 8 PM PDT Friday. * IMPACTS...Strong winds and rough waves on area lakes will create hazardous conditions for small craft.
