Flood Advisory issued September 22 at 4:51PM AST until September 22 at 5:00PM AST by NWS San Juan PR

The Flood Advisory will expire at 5 PM AST this afternoon for a portion of Puerto Rico, including the following areas, Adjuntas, Ciales, Jayuya, Lares, Morovis, Orocovis and Utuado. The heavy rain has ended. Urban area and small stream flooding is no longer expected to pose a threat. Please continue to heed remaining road closures.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...San Sebastian County in Puerto Rico... * WHEN...Until 515 PM AST. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 219 PM AST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... San Sebastian, Hato Arriba and Juncal. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
