River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast precipitation for the next 24 hours. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Mississippi River at Hannibal. * WHEN...From Monday evening to Saturday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 17.0 feet, John Hay Recreation Area on east side (inside the Illinois Sny Levee) begins flooding. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:15 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 16.3 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage tomorrow evening to a crest of 17.2 feet early Tuesday afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage Friday morning. - Flood stage is 17.0 feet.

It will then fall below flood stage early Saturday afternoon. - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
