* WHAT...Flooding caused by last week's rainfall continues, especially in the Chaires, Capitola, and Baum communities of eastern Leon County. * WHERE...Eastern Leon County in the Florida Big Bend. * WHEN...Until 200 PM EDT Thursday. * IMPACTS...Several roads either remain closed or have water still flowing across them in Eastern Leon County. Driving on flooded roads can be especially hazardous. Obey any road closure signs when encountering flooded roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 145 PM EDT, Leon County Emergency Management reported continued flooding in the Capitola, Chaires, and Baum communities of eastern Leon County. Flood waters remain, but are slowly subsiding. While some roads are beginning to reopen, others have water flowing across them, making travel difficult or even dangerous. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... At 16.3 feet, Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission begins enforcement of a no wake zone on the Santa Fe River from the unnamed island 1.5 miles downstream of the Wilson's Spring Boat Ramp to the confluence with the Suwannee River and on the Ichetucknee River upstream to the US 27 bridge. At 17.0 feet, Water begins to enter backyards of residences on Santa Fe Road in Columbia County and on River Run Road in Suwannee County.
