* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of east central Kansas, including the following counties, Osage, Shawnee and Wabaunsee. * WHEN...Until 930 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 648 PM CDT, a trained weather spotter 2 miles northwest of Dover reported 1.2 inches of rain in the past 20 minutes due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1.5 and 3.5 total inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Southern Topeka, Carbondale, Alma, Eskridge, Dover, Auburn, Burlingame, Scranton, Alta Vista, Harveyville, Keene and Volland. - This includes Kansas Turnpike between mile markers 155 and 174.
