Confidence is increasing for heavy snow to overspread the area Saturday into Sunday as a strong storm moves overhead. Exact snowfall totals are still uncertain, but expect several inches of snow from Tanana northward to the Brooks Range.

We are monitoring a strong storm progged to bring heavy snow to the Southern Alaska Range Saturday into Sunday. Exact amounts are still uncertain but the likelihood of seeing several inches of snow are increasing. The heaviest snow looks to arrive Saturday evening and continue through Sunday then lighten as we head into Monday.

Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Conditions will begin to deteriorate this afternoon but the worst conditions will occur tonight through tomorrow afternoon, then gradually improve during the evening as wind and snow lessens in coverage.
