Flood Advisory issued April 16 at 6:24AM CDT until April 16 at 10:30AM CDT by NWS Omaha/Valley NE

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of northeast Nebraska, including the following counties, Madison, Pierce, Platte, Stanton and Wayne. * WHEN...Until 1030 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 624 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... FFWOAX The National Weather Service in Omaha/Valley has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for... North Central Cuming County in northeastern Nebraska... Northwestern Thurston County in northeastern Nebraska... Southeastern Wayne County in northeastern Nebraska... * Until 1100 AM CDT. * At 603 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Earlier this morning between 1 and 2 inches of rain fell in this area. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Wayne, Wakefield, Emerson, Thurston, Winnebago Reservation and Omaha Reservation. Highways 16 and 35 near Wayne and Wakefield could be impacted by this flooding.
