At 711 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Maryville, moving northeast at 35 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Knoxville, Maryville, Alcoa, Louisville, Rockford, Eagleton Village, Greenback, Friendsville, Walland, and Wildwood.

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of Middle Tennessee, including the following counties, Davidson, Rutherford, Sumner, Williamson and Wilson. * WHEN...Until 830 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 530 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This is causing urban and small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...South Fork of the Forked Deer near Halls. * WHEN...Until late tonight. * IMPACTS...At 9.0 feet, Farmland near the river is flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:00 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 9.5 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:00 AM CDT Tuesday was 10.4 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage late this evening and continue falling to 2.0 feet Sunday morning. - Flood stage is 9.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
