Flood Advisory

Flood Advisory issued May 4 at 8:31PM EDT until May 4 at 11:30PM EDT by NWS Morristown TN

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of east Tennessee, including the following counties, Bledsoe and Rhea. * WHEN...Until 1130 PM EDT /1030 PM CDT/. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 828 PM EDT /728 PM CDT/, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding has already been reported by local law enforcement on Upper East Valley Rd north of Pikeville. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen over the last hour and any additional rains will lead to continued flooding. - Additional rainfall amounts of up to 1.0 inches are possible over the next hour. This additional rain will result in continued flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Dayton, Pikeville and Melvine. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
