In Virginia, Carroll, Floyd, Grayson, and Roanoke Counties. * WHEN...From Friday morning through Friday evening. * IMPACTS...Damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are possible. Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 8 to 10 feet expected in the surf zone. * WHERE...The beaches from Cape Hatteras to Cape Lookout. * WHEN...From 1 AM to 1 PM EST Friday. * IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Strong southerly winds developing ahead of a strong cold front are expected to lead to a period of large breaking waves from Cape Lookout to Cape Hatteras tonight through early Friday afternoon.

Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Strong southerly winds are expected to develop ahead of a cold front this evening, lasting into Friday morning. Additionally, areas of enhanced wind gusts may occur with thunderstorms tonight.
