SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Ansonville, Covington, and Blewett Falls Lake.

Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued May 10 at 2:35PM EDT until May 10 at 2:45PM EDT by NWS Greenville-Spartanburg SC

The storm which prompted the warning has moved out of the area. Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for the Piedmont of North Carolina.

Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Rockingham, Hamlet, Dobbins Heights, Gibson, Morven, McFarlan, Diggs, and East Rockingham.

* WHAT...Up to one foot of inundation above ground level expected in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways. * WHERE...Eastern Currituck County. * WHEN...From 7 PM this evening to 1 AM EDT Saturday. * IMPACTS...Shallow flooding is expected in the most vulnerable locations near the waterfront and shoreline resulting in a low threat of property damage. Expect up to one foot of water above ground level in low lying, vulnerable areas. Some roads and low lying property including parking lots, parks and lawns near the waterfront will experience shallow flooding.
