Flash Flood Warning issued May 26 at 5:11PM EDT until May 26 at 8:15PM EDT by NWS Mount Holly NJ

FFWPHI The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for... West Central Sussex County in southern Delaware... * Until 815 PM EDT. * At 511 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other drainage and low lying areas. * Some locations that may experience flash flooding include... Bridgeville and Greenwood.

Special Weather Statement issued May 26 at 3:36PM EDT by NWS Mount Holly NJ

Scattered thunderstorms are developing over portions of Delmarva and interior southern southern New Jersey at this hour. Some of these storms could produce strong winds up to 50 mph in addition to heavy downpours leading to the threat of localized flooding. The threat for storms will continue through this afternoon with further storm development possible farther north over southeastern PA. Scattered storms will quickly diminish early this evening.
