At 606 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 9 miles northeast of Medicine Creek Reservoir State Recreation Area, or 20 miles southeast of Curtis, moving northeast at 40 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of northwestern Gosper and Dawson Counties, including the following locations... Farnam. This includes Interstate 80 between mile markers 210 and 244.

Flood Warning issued April 26 at 5:26AM CDT until April 26 at 11:30AM CDT by NWS Hastings NE

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Portions of south central Nebraska, including the following counties, Merrick, Adams, Hall and Hamilton. * WHEN...Until 1130 AM CDT Friday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 524 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 3 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. - Only isolated showers and thunderstorms are expected through the day on Friday. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Grand Island, Aurora, Wood River, Doniphan, Alda, Giltner, Phillips and Prosser. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
