HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Strong thunderstorms will be near... Chicago, Cicero, Tinley Park, Oak Lawn, Berwyn, Oak Park, Chicago Heights, Midway Airport, Austin, and South Lawndale around 1005 PM CDT. Roseland, Englewood, Dolton, Humboldt Park, Brighton Park, Chatham, New City, Auburn Gresham, East Garfield Park, and River Forest around 1010 PM CDT. Wabash River at Hutsonville Legacy Power Plant Site. .Minor river flooding continues but is expected to come to an end on the Wabash River by midday Friday. Additional rainfall from multiple systems over the next week could bring renewed minor river flooding to the Wabash. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Wabash River at Riverton. * WHEN...Until late tomorrow evening. * IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Some agricultural lands underwater. A few rural roads in Crawford County, Illinois close as water backs up Minnow Slough. High water affects campground at Leaverton Park in Palestine. A few private roads near the Gill Township levee in Sullivan County may flood. Water level is at the top of most makeshift levees. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:00 PM EDT Thursday /8:00 PM CDT Thursday/ the stage was 15.6 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:00 PM EDT Thursday /8:00 PM CDT Thursday/ was 15.7 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 15.6 feet just after midnight tonight.
