...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Missouri... Little Osage River near Horton affecting Vernon County. ...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Kansas... Little Osage River at Fulton affecting Bourbon County. For the Little Osage River...including Fulton, Horton...Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Little Osage River at Fulton. * WHEN...Until late Sunday evening. * IMPACTS...At 30.0 feet, major flooding begins at the gage site. Flood waters reach the bottom of Old Highway 69 bridge at the previous gage site. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:01 PM CDT Friday the stage was 28.5 feet. - Bankfull stage is 22.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:01 PM CDT Friday was 28.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 28.7 feet just after midnight Friday night. It will then fall below flood stage late Saturday evening. - Flood stage is 22.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 28.8 feet on 07/12/1951. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms are anticipated over the next 2 days. 1-2 inches of rain has already fallen across the watch area with an additional 2 to 4 inches expected.
