Flood Warning issued May 8 at 11:40AM EDT until May 11 at 5:00AM EDT by NWS Indianapolis IN

...The National Weather Service in Indianapolis IN has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Indiana... East Fork White River at Seymour. .Rainfall of two to three inches over parts of the East Fork White basin Tuesday and Tuesday night along with additional rainfall today of around half an inch will bring minor flooding to the East Fork White at Seymour beginning tonight. Rainfall amounts over half an inch tonight in this basin would increase the crest height as well as potentially produce flooding at more points along the East Fork White. Those with interests along area rivers and streams should monitor forecast updates. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...East Fork White River at Seymour. * WHEN...From this evening to early Saturday morning. * IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, Pasture lands, agricultural lands and several county and state roads begin to flood. High water isolates a few river cabins. State Road 235 east of Medora and county roads near Shields and Vallonia flood. Roads that begin to flood include SR 258 east of Cortland, CR 725 N just north of the gaging site and Ewing Road near Brownstown. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:45 AM EDT Wednesday the stage was 7.1 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this evening to a crest of 14.5 feet early tomorrow afternoon. The following counties in Ohio, Adams, Brown, Butler, Clermont, Clinton, Hamilton, Highland, Pike, Ross, Scioto and Warren. * WHEN...From 8 PM EDT this evening through Thursday morning. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations are possible. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Soils are saturated from last night's rainfall and excessive runoff from storms tonight will significantly increase the potential for flooding and flash flooding.

In southeast Indiana, Jennings. * WHEN...From 6 PM EDT this evening through late tonight. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Thunderstorms yesterday produced 1.5 to 3 inches across portions of Southeastern Indiana.
