* WHAT...Up to one half foot of inundation above ground level in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways. * WHERE...Coastal portions of Westmoreland, Richmond, Northumberland and Lancaster Counties. * WHEN...Until 4 AM EDT Saturday. * IMPACTS...Shallow flooding is expected in the most vulnerable locations near the waterfront and shoreline resulting in a low threat of property damage. Expect up to one foot of water above ground level in low lying, vulnerable areas. Some roads and low lying property including parking lots, parks and lawns near the waterfront will experience shallow flooding.

At 728 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Atkins to near Sugar Grove to near Bridle Creek. Movement was east at 25 mph. HAZARDS...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. Occasional cloud- to-ground lightning. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACTS...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Rural Retreat... Fries... Mount Rogers National Recreation Area... Speedwell... Sugar Grove... Atkins... Flatridge... Interstate 81 between mile-markers 45 and 63.

* WHAT...One to two feet of inundation above ground level expected in low lying areas due to tidal flooding. * WHERE...Shoreline in the District of Columbia, Arlington County, and the City of Alexandria. * WHEN...Until 9 PM EDT this evening, especially around the time of high tide. * IMPACTS...Shoreline inundation is expected along portions of the seawall adjacent to Ohio Drive and the Hains Point Loop Road and near the Tidal Basin. Water is expected to approach the curb near the intersection of King Street and Strand Street in Alexandria. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Tides two to two and a half feet above normal. The next high tide at Washington Channel is at 6:17 PM and 6:45 AM. The next high tide at Alexandria is at 6:35 PM and 7:03 AM.

The next high tide at Dahlgren is at 1:30 AM and 1:46 PM. The next high tide at Indian Head is at 6:03 PM and 6:31 AM. The next high tide at Goose Bay is at 2:09 PM and 2:37 AM.
