Expect snow to hit eastern North Dakota and northern Minnesota with rates of 1 inch per hour and total amounts of 3 to 6 inches or more in some places. Travel could be tricky with reduced visibility and snowy roads.
Severe Thunderstorms in the Upper/Middle Mississippi Valley
Heads up for possible severe weather over the Upper/Middle Mississippi Valley on Thursday and Friday. A level 3 out of 5 risk for severe thunderstorms is issued. Be cautious of frequent lightning, strong winds, hail, and a few tornadoes.
Winter Storm Pushes With Heavy Snow and Freezing Rain
Another round of winter weather is moving in from Thursday night through Saturday morning. A second low-pressure system will track from the Rockies to the Northern Plains and Minnesota with heavy snow and freezing rain. Snowfall rates could reach 2 inches per hour in some areas, bringing more hazardous travel conditions.
