At 1042 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Garden Plain, moving east at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Wichita, Newton, Park City, Valley Center, Bel Aire, Goddard, Maize, Cheney, Halstead, Sedgwick, Colwich, Garden Plain, Mount Hope, Kechi, Andale, Bentley, West Wichita, Cheney Lake, and Cheney State Park. This includes Interstate 135 between Mile Markers 10 and 30.

Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following low water crossings... Dry Fork at Pine Road, Center Creek at Dogwood Road and Fidelity Branch at County Road 130. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
