Strong variable wind gusts of 40 to over 50 mph at times will occur through 130 PM CDT. These kind of winds may knock down tree limbs and rattle lawn furniture around over the next few hours. Exercise caution if out and about through this time. In addition, these strong winds could make travel difficult at times for high profile vehicles. The winds should diminish into the 15 to 25 mph range from the south this afternoon.

Strong winds with gusts between 40 and 50 mph are expected to occur for up to a 1 to 2 hour long duration as rain tapers off late this morning into the early to mid-afternoon. These winds will mainly be out of the southwest, but may be more out of the south or southeast at some locations. Winds of this magnitude will make travel difficult for high-profile vehicles and may blow small objects around.

Wabash River at Montezuma. .Additional rainfall earlier this week brought new rises to area waterways... with the Wabash River now falling in flood at Montezuma... Hutsonville...and Riverton...while the White River is flooding near crest at both Elliston...and Edwardsport. The White River is expected to reach bankfull at both Petersburg and Hazleton early next week. Dry and hot weather with considerable sunshine is expected into next week, which will promote moving excess water out of the drainage system and drying the soil. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Wabash River at Hutsonville Legacy Power Plant Site. * WHEN...Until tomorrow afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Old Darwin Road and a few low rural roads between York and Hutsonville, Illinois begin to flood.
