Wabash River at Riverton. .Recent rainfall has brought Montezuma back above flood stage this morning with Hutsonville and Riverton also expected to rise above flood stage on Tuesday. Numerous rain showers are expected today before dry weather returns for Tuesday and Wednesday. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Wabash River at Montezuma. * WHEN...Until late Friday morning. * IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Montezuma agricultural levee is overtopped. Fourteen hundred acres of low bottomlands flood. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:45 PM EDT Monday the stage was 14.8 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:45 PM EDT Monday was 14.8 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 16.1 feet Wednesday morning. Water level is at the top of most makeshift levees. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:00 PM EDT Monday /9:00 PM CDT Monday/ the stage was 13.7 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage early tomorrow afternoon to a crest of 16.4 feet early Wednesday afternoon.
