Flood Advisory issued May 2 at 11:40PM EDT until May 3 at 2:45AM EDT by NWS Northern Indiana

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of northern Indiana, including the following counties, De Kalb, Lagrange, Noble and Steuben. * WHEN...Until 245 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1139 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional thunderstorms are expected overnight. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Kendallville, Angola, Avilla, Fremont, Ashley, Hudson, Clear Lake, Corunna, Helmer, Salem Center, Fairfield Center, Big Turkey Lake, Stroh, Elmira, Golden Lake, Big Long Lake, Long Lake, Pleasant Lake, Flint and Lake Gauge. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Indiana... Illinois... Wabash River at Riverton. Wabash River at Hutsonville Legacy Power Plant Site. .Minor river flooding continues but is expected to come to an end on the Wabash River by midday Friday. Additional rainfall from multiple systems over the next week could bring renewed minor river flooding to the Wabash. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Wabash River at Riverton. * WHEN...Until late tomorrow evening. * IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Some agricultural lands underwater. A few rural roads in Crawford County, Illinois close as water backs up Minnow Slough. High water affects campground at Leaverton Park in Palestine. A few private roads near the Gill Township levee in Sullivan County may flood. Water level is at the top of most makeshift levees. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:00 PM EDT Thursday /8:00 PM CDT Thursday/ the stage was 15.6 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:00 PM EDT Thursday /8:00 PM CDT Thursday/ was 15.7 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 15.6 feet just after midnight tonight. Additional rainfall from multiple systems over the next week could bring renewed minor river flooding to the Wabash. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Wabash River at Hutsonville Legacy Power Plant Site. * WHEN...Until early Saturday morning. * IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Old Darwin Road and a few low rural roads between York and Hutsonville, Illinois begin to flood. Agricultural flooding begins along portions of the river. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - There is no current observed data. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage early tomorrow afternoon and continue falling and remain below flood stage. - Flood stage is 16.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
