* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of central North Carolina, including the following counties, Davidson, Montgomery, Randolph and Stanly. * WHEN...Until 1030 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 812 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. - Some locations that may experience flooding include... Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 736 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to slow moving thunderstorms continuously redeveloping over the same area. Areas of fog will affect the area this morning, lowering visibility to 1 to 3 miles at times. The fog may periodically become locally dense, reducing visibilities to less than 1/2 mile at times. If driving this morning, SLOW DOWN, use low beam headlights and allow extra braking distance ahead of you in case of sudden stops. The fog will quickly dissipate between 8 and 9 am edt this morning.
