Flood Warning issued February 17 at 3:51AM EST until February 17 at 8:00PM EST by NWS Peachtree City GA

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Georgia... Alabama... Chattahoochee River at 14th Street at Columbus affecting Chattahoochee, Russell, Muscogee and Lee Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Chattahoochee River at 14th Street at Columbus. * WHEN...Until this evening. * IMPACTS...At 27 feet, Flood stage is reached. Minor flooding occurs along the river upstream and downstream from the gage on the 14th Street bridge. Portions of the River Walk in Columbus begin to flood and will be closed to the public. The water level continues to approach the foundation of the Phenix City Amphitheater in Alabama. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 3:45 AM EST Monday /2:45 AM CST Monday/ the stage was 27.2 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 3:45 AM EST Monday /2:45 AM CST Monday/ was 30.3 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage this morning and continue falling to 22.4 feet Friday evening. - Flood stage is 27 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Georgia... Oconee River near Oconee affecting Wilkinson, Washington and Johnson Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Oconee River near Oconee. * WHEN...Until Thursday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 19 feet, The water level begins to flood the dirt parking lot area near the Old Balls Ferry Road boat ramp...just upstream and rightbank from the Georgia Highway 57 bridge. Minor flooding continues and spreads further into the woodlands near the river. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 3:30 AM EST Monday the stage was 18.4 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 3:30 AM EST Monday was 18.4 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 18.9 feet just after midnight tonight. Ocmulgee River near Macon affecting Monroe, Twiggs, Bibb, Jones and Houston Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Ocmulgee River near Macon. * WHEN...Until this afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 19 feet, Minor flooding continues. The Macon Greenway Ocmulgee Heritage Trail will begin to flood in areas just north of the Martin Luther King Boulevard bridge. The public should not use this portion of the trail. In addition...the lowest sections of the Charles Jones Gateway Park will flood. Portions of agricultural lands well downstream will be under two feet of water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 2:30 AM EST Monday the stage was 18.9 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 2:30 AM EST Monday was 20.1 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage tomorrow evening. - Flood stage is 18 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered.
